The technology we employ in the ThermaPAK is based on a phase change material our engineers at ThermaPAK developed just for this problem of hot notebook computers. We've run tests in labratory conditions and we found the following results:
In this heat protection test, we can see that not only does ThermaPAK takes the heat away from the computer, it also keeps the heat from entering your body, create a whopping 20-Celsius-degree difference than if ThermaPAK was absent. That's something you will surely feel and appreciate. The ThermaPAK is a work in progress and subsequent improvements are on its way. Our results were nearly identical to bulky, powered solutions like Targus FanPad. However, unlike fan based cooling pads it doesn't shorten battery life (we're talking about losing 20%) and it slips easily into your bag. And ThermaPAK is safer for your hardware than all insulating pads because it "stores" the damaging excess heat, not just deflecting it back to your laptop. |
